New Kitchen from Decal
Getting your new kitchen from Decal is exciting but to ensure that we get everything just as you want it, we always start with the planning process. Before we can plan your new kitchen, it is a good idea to think about some of the things you want to include or remove from your existing room.
The first thing we assess is the layout of the kitchen and how this works for you. This involves the key features known as the working triangle – the sink, hob and fridge freezer. Where they are located and how you can move from one to another is important. Ideally, they should be equally spaced out but not too far that you have to walk a lot to get from one to another.
If you want the kitchen to have some kind of social space such as a breakfast bar or a table and chairs area, this needs to factor in early. Not all kitchens can have the space for this but where it is possible, it is ideal to have it located away from the sink and washing up area.
Storage and shelving are often a consideration after the units, but we like to take a holistic approach. Open shelving is a popular way to store visually attractive items like glassware, plates or even pans so this can be factored into the plans.
With all the elements organised and planned, we can then start the work and let you know what will happen and when.
