Home Office Extensions

Home office extensions are a great way to create a new area within your home (or just on the outside of it) where you can have your own office space.  The great thing with extensions rather than converting an existing space is there’s so many things you can do when you make something from scratch.

A simple brick-built single-storey extension is the most common option that people go for.  This has the benefit of being able to transform into something else if you find that you no longer need a home office.

But you can also get a bit more creative about the style of the room.  Rooms that are a combination of a sunroom and a standard extension can be a great idea for a home office.  With solid walls on either side and a solid roof, they get light in through an all-glazing front with patio doors to open during the warmer months.

Extensions can also be for more than one thing.  You can section the room to create a home office area and also have a second living room area complete with sofas and a TV.  Or even somewhere for the kids to play where you can keep an eye on them while being just a little removed and ‘at work’.
